Tour Plan

Day 1 Mnemba Snorkeling & Nungwi Turtle Aquarium

After enjoying breakfast, your first adventure begins around 08:30 am with a pickup from your hotel for a memorable day of snorkeling at Mnemba Island. This stunning destination is home to vibrant marine life, including zebrafish, clownfish, and sea turtles swimming in the crystal-clear waters. After an exhilarating snorkeling session, your captain will bring you back to shore.

Next, head to the Baraka Aquarium, where you'll have the opportunity to observe and even swim with green sea turtles in their natural lagoon. Established by a non-governmental organization, this aquarium plays a vital role in the conservation of these magnificent creatures. Located in Nungwi, near the iconic lighthouse, Baraka Aquarium provides a unique glimpse into marine turtle rehabilitation and protection. By around 04:00 pm, you will check in to your accommodation in Nungwi.

Day 2 Beach Relaxation at Nungwi Beach

On Day 2 of your 6 Days Zanzibar Itinerary, enjoy a leisurely breakfast before spending your day at the beautiful Nungwi Beach. Renowned for its white sandy shores and crystal-clear waters, this beach is a paradise for sunbathers and adventurers alike. While relaxing is the main agenda, you have the option to partake in various water activities (additional fees apply) to enhance your experience. Nungwi offers a perfect blend of relaxation and excitement, making it the ideal spot for beach lovers.

Day 3 Safari Blue Experience

After breakfast, prepare for an unforgettable adventure as you embark on the Safari Blue trip at 08:00 am. Board a traditional dhow at Fumba fishing village and set sail to explore the stunning Menai Bay conservation area. Known for its breathtaking coral reefs and pristine sandbanks, this trip offers opportunities for swimming and snorkeling in turquoise waters.

As you sail along, marvel at the 200-year-old baobab tree, and if you’re feeling adventurous, try climbing it for a panoramic view! Keep an eye out for the local wildlife, including elusive coconut crabs. Enjoy a refreshing swim in the mangrove lagoon on Kwale Island, creating lasting memories in this beautiful setting. After a day packed with activities, indulge in a sumptuous seafood buffet lunch before returning to your hotel in Nungwi around 06:00 pm.

Day 4 Beach Bliss at Nungwi Beach

On Day 4 of your 6 Days Zanzibar Itinerary, indulge in relaxation at the stunning Nungwi Beach after breakfast. This idyllic destination is a haven for beach lovers, offering a variety of activities alongside sun-soaked relaxation. While many visitors come to unwind, there's plenty to explore at Nungwi, from water sports to local cultural experiences (details below). If you're interested in additional activities, we can arrange them for you at an extra cost.

Nungwi Beach stands out with its crystal-clear waters and pristine white sands, making it one of the most picturesque spots on the island. Whether you’re planning a short visit or a longer stay, you'll quickly fall in love with this coastal paradise. With a plethora of fun activities and impressive sights, you might find it hard to leave!

Day 5 Nungwi to Stone Town - City Tour & Prison Island

After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for an exciting day exploring Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This city tour is a must on your 6 Days Zanzibar Itinerary, as it immerses you in the rich history and vibrant culture of Zanzibar.

- Stop at The Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe): Explore this historic site, once a prison, featuring an old amphitheater used for women’s gatherings. (Duration: 15 minutes)
- Stop at House of Wonders (Beit-el-Ajaib): Discover the fascinating artifacts, including old bronze guns captured in 1622, traditional curved doors, and preserved dhows. (Duration: 15 minutes)
- Stop at Old Slave Market/Anglican Cathedral: Your guide will share stories about the slave monuments and the tomb of Edward Steers. (Duration: 30 minutes)
- Stop at Freddie Mercury Museum: Visit the home of the legendary rock star, Freddie Mercury. (Duration: 15 minutes)
- Stop at Palace Museum (Beit al-Sahel): Learn about the life of the old sultan’s family. (Duration: 15 minutes)

Prison Island Tour (Changuu Private Island)
A short boat ride (20-30 minutes) from Stone Town leads you to Prison Island. Once there, you’ll traverse a rustic wooden bridge to discover a sanctuary for giant Aldabra tortoises. This tour combines nature, history, and adventure, allowing you to relax on beautiful beaches while snorkeling amidst colorful fish and corals.

Day 6 Spice Tour and Jozani Forest Adventure

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a Spice Tour, one of the highlights of your 6 Days Zanzibar Itinerary, followed by an exploration of Jozani Forest.

- Stop at Spice Tour: As the Spice Island, Zanzibar is famous for its rich spice production. During this walking tour through a spice farm (shamba), you’ll learn about the cultivation of spices like clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Get ready to smell and taste an array of spices, herbs, and tropical fruits, including turmeric, vanilla, and jackfruit.
- Stop at Jozani Forest: Located 35 km southeast of Zanzibar City, Jozani Forest is the last remaining natural forest of Unguja, spanning 10 square kilometers. It is home to unique wildlife, including the Red Colobus monkey and the Zanzibar leopard. After enjoying the natural beauty and wildlife, you'll return to Nungwi Beach.

Departure Day: Souvenir Shopping and Airport Transfer
On your final day, depending on your flight schedule, you'll have time to shop for souvenirs before being transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your departure. If you need to connect to a flight from Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, or Nairobi, we will arrange it for you.
